Well here we are Zambia... and it is beautiful. The trip over here went pretty smoothly. (Despite the fact that we almost missed our flight out of South Africa!) Some of the highlights of the trip were: Flying right past a lightning storm... it was like something out of a movie to see the lightning so clearly and SO close! It was absolutely breathtaking. New York at night is beautiful! Getting to see Times Square from so high up was so cool... it almost made up for not actually getting to walk around in New York. I also got to see my first sunrise over the Atlantic ocean! (now I can say that I have seen the sunrise on the Atlantic and the sunset on the pacific!) The flight from New York to South Africa was about 15 hours... but it went by pretty smoothly! We watched a couple of movies which helped the time to go by. Also, we were supposed to have our windows closed for part of the flight (don't ask me why) and so between the time changes and sleeping off and on for who knows how long, I completely lost track of time. So when I peeked outside my window I was blown away to see a trillion-million stars! Seeing stars up in a plane where there are no clouds to block your view is one of the most amazing things ever! I also got to see my first African sunrise this morning! (I kind of missed the sunset this evening because I was sleeping.) Zambia is so beautiful... the are super cool trees. (Not to mention, there is a mango tree in our yard!) There are random little lizards running around... I got super freaked out by one in the bathroom! The town is super neat, too. People kept trying to sell us stuff, and I felt kinda bad saying no... so I guess that I'll just have to get used to that. Anyhow, that about sums up our trip over. Now I think that it is time for dinner... AND BED!
